Transcript: Fear before surgery
I was actually very excited, I thought about that. You always have that little doubt in the back of your mind… especially (the) night before surgery. I thought, man, this is a huge commitment. I’m about to have something removed that can’t be replaced. But when I started to think about what I’m going to be able to do, (how) my future from now on is going to be different. I’m going to be able to play with my kids. I’m going to be able to play with my five-year-old. I’m going to be able to run. I’m going to be able to leave a legacy behind. That’s what got me excited again and put that fear away, because it is, it’s a huge commitment. And you start to think, well maybe I can’t, maybe people were right, maybe it is an easy way out. I said, nope, I’m going to do it. I’ll make that.
